ACOBIR (and the MLS)
Definition
ACOBIR is Panama's association of real estate brokers and developers: it gathers the sector's formal professionals, operates Panama's MLS (the shared property database among brokers), and requires members to hold a current license and follow a code of ethics.
In practice
For clients, membership is a formality filter and a practical advantage: through the MLS, a member broker can show you other brokers' inventory, not just their own. For the market, ACOBIR is also a data source and trade-fair organizer — our market study uses MLS listings among its sources, always attributed. Vaca Group is an ACOBIR member and Kelmy Vaca appears in its verified directory.
