Licensed real estate broker (corredor licenciado)
Definition
In Panama, real estate brokerage is a regulated profession: a licensed broker holds a license (PN) issued by the Real Estate Technical Board of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, legally authorizing — and holding them accountable for — brokering sales and rentals.
In practice
Panama's market is full of informal, unlicensed intermediaries, and the difference matters when something goes wrong: a licensed broker answers to the Technical Board and risks their license; the informal one disappears. Verifying takes a minute — ask for the license number. Ours is PN 5904, visible on every page of this site, and we also operate as ACOBIR members under its code of ethics.
